Windham Mountain Ski Resort

Windham Mountain Ski Resort had been recently acquired by a Wall Street investment partnership, underwent a multi-million-dollar expansion and rebranding and was seeking to increase the high dollar demographic of its target customer base.


The mountain increased V.I.P. amenities, introduced a members-only winter-season country club and began constructing and selling new multi-million-dollar homes along the ski trails. The Butler group was retained to help broaden awareness of the resort in its target markets across the Northeast and rebrand Windham as the home mountain for many CEO’s and Wall Street leaders.


The Butler team garnered dozens upon dozens of features for the resort, its management and ownership team in publications like Crain’s New York Business and Gannett’s Journal News as well as full-page stories in the New York Daily News and Newsday. Large features also ran in the Westchester InTown Magazine, Hudson Valley and the Capital District Business Review, among many others.


We consistently attracted major national and large city, broadcast and cable affiliates. This included stations from NYC, Albany, to even Fox National conducting multiple live broadcasts on National television.


While the warm weather of recent winters devastated regional resorts from Wisconsin to Vermont, Windham remained front and center in the news.
